Did you know that Norway is home to some 450,000 cabins? With approximately 24% of these being “off-grid” meaning they’re not attached to electricity, gas, or water. These cabins with their exotic locations and spartan amenities post unique challenges but also worrying questions for their owners. Many owners do not live at these properties fulltime, and when away can have worrying questions like “Is my cabin warm?” or “are my batteries charged?” How can we then solve these questions and provide owners the peace of mind, when they are away from their off-grid cabins? Our goal with myMicrohouse+ was to provide peace of mind to these cabin owners through an integrated Web of Things (WoT) system powered by solar and wind energy...
